Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a popular American actress and singer. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier - a nurse - and Tom Bell - a television director - she is an American actress and singer. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen's talents for performing were discovered at a very young age. When she was in 1992, she went to her very first audition. The audition was for the role in Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mom signed her up with an agency just before her 13th birthday. She was then featured in TV commercials and newspaper ads. She is now also taking classes in acting for herself. Bell appeared on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she took part in musical and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school and she won the part as Dorothy. After graduating, Bell moved in New York City to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts and learned about musical theatre. Bell graduated from her college in 2001 after she took the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. Her first film credits in Pootie Tang at the beginning of 2001. Her scene, however cut, and Bell's only role is the final credits. Bell appeared on Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival which featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
