Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10 the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone was thought to be gifted academically in her early years and entered second grade at five. In 1975 Stone graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). She also competed winning the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone was able to move with her aunt from New Jersey, where she pursued a career in modeling. A month later, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. Then, she moved to Europe for a time, and lived with her aunt in Milan in Italy and Paris. Stone was unhappy with the model industry in Europe she decided to focus on acting instead. Stone appeared in Woody Allen's movie "Stardust Memories" at the age of twenty. The film received mixed reactions.
