Linda Edna Cardellini is the daughter of Lorraine (Hernan), a mother and Wayne David Cardellini (a father) who is an entrepreneur. Her parents are of Italian (from her paternal grandpa), Irish (from her mother), German, English and Scottish descent. Linda was born in the San Francisco Bay region, California being the eldest from four children. The acting bug grew in her at the age of ten when she played a role as a vocalist in the annual Christmas show at school. Her next stage was performing in community and school theater. Linda graduated from Saint Francis High School Mountain View, California. After graduation she had to make a choice among New York, where she could pursue theater as a career, and Los Angeles, where film as well as television could be pursued. The choice was LA. Linda was cast first as a character on Bone Chillers (1996). Freaks and Geeks, 1999 was her breakthrough part. In the critically acclaimed show, she was a decathlete Lindsay Weir. The show won the Emmy Award under the category of Outstanding Casting Comedy Series.

Lily James (born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson on the 5th of April 1989) is an English actor from England. She began her career as an British actress in Just William (2010), an British television series that aired on British television. Cinderella (2015) was her first film following the time she portrayed Lady Rose MacClare (2012-2015) in Downton Abbey, the period television drama. James then played the role of the Countess Natasha Rostova, in the version on television of War & Peace, in 2016. She also appeared in a number of films.
